We are still constructing this space so that it best reflects who we are and what it is that we do. Please come back and visit in a few months to see our progress. It’s going to have a few bugs here and there as we go along, but fear not, we’ll squarsh em (gently. :).
About Books to Prisoners:
Books to Prisoners Olympia works to offset the dehumanizing effects of incarceration by sending quality used books free of charge to prisoners all over. We are entirely operated by volunteers, our library entirely stocked by donated books.

Thank you to all of the fabulous volunteers who nurtured the Olympia Books To Prisoners project this past winter. Penelope, Michael and Laurel teamed together to make some new shelves with wood donated by Olympia Salvage. Matthew Smith donated his time and enthusiasm to build us this beautiful new website. Dana has been diligently re-catagorizing the bookshelves with her librarian’s attention to order. Dumpster Values has been continually donating proceeds from the sale of clothing in their $1 bin to pay for postage- (money which has lubricated BTPs joints like they’ve never been lubricated before!) All this in addition to the every day diligence of a continually growing and changing batch of volunteers. It is safe to say that Books To Prisoners Olympia is thriving more than it ever has!
